Will Ferrell grew up in California in a city called Irvine. This is where he grew into the comedian he is today. He claims that growing up in such a boring town helped him to practice making people laugh, making fun of life, and doing impressions.

Boring town aside, Ferrell is still fond of California. We know this from all his big investments there. In January 2016, ESPN FC made an announcement with regards to Will Ferrell. It simply said this:

“This is not a joke.”
Will Ferrell announced as #LAFC co-owner.

LAFC is the Los Angeles Football Club, one of the teams in the Major League Soccer league. The club has another two dozen people co-owning it, including Magic Johnson and Mia Hamm.

Another investment that Will Ferrell is involved in is the startup website funnyordie.com. This is a less surprising investment for Ferrell, as it is a comedy website. It allows users to post video content, as well as posting content from Will and other celebrities. The founders of Funny or Die are Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy, and Andy McKay. Estimates put its value at 100 to 300 million Dollars. It has also received Emmy nominations. The series starring Zach Galifianakis -Between Two Ferns- won an Emmy.
